The associates of Alexey Navalny have announced a global protest act called “Putin is a killer”, scheduled for 20 August,
the day when Alexey Navalny was poisoned in 2020.
We, Danish Friends of a Democratic Russia, join this worldwide protest
to mark the sad anniversary of the poisoning of Alexei Navalny.
Fear, violence, and murders is what Putin’s regime has been relying on for over 20 years. Its first victims were people, who resisted Putin and fought for Russia’s freedom and democratic future inside the country. Putin kills journalists, politicians, and activists.
Now Putin has started a horrible war in Ukraine, the most pointless war of the 21st century against the neighbour country, the criminal war that continues to take a heavy toll on the lives and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people.
Putin is a killer. He failed to poison Alexei with Novichok, so now he is trying to do it slowly, with the help of a prison cell. August 4th the court announced another sentence: 19 years in prison for “extremism”. In fact, he is sentenced because he continues to fight Putin’s regime even from the SHIZO. As Alexei himself wrote, let us not despair and not be frightened, but think about what each of us can do.
